swollen foot
my daughter fell at dancing on tuesday, she had a large lump below her ankle towards her toes. we iced it for about an hour. the lump has gone down, but now her whole foot is swollen, even her toes, not bursting out of the skin swollen. it''s also bruised. she is not walking on that foot and is keeping it elevated. should we be strapping it? and if yes should it be a tight strapping or just a firm strapping. i am 100% sure she has not broken anything, just sprained.
Hallo Jenny
Maybe let a physiotherapist/your GP just evaluate for torn ligament (usually blue discolouration of the area, severe swelling or tenderness or unable to walk on the foot) In the mean time, ice, firm strapping and anti-inflammatory medication will be useful.
