Swollen lower legs.
Our employee , returned from a holiday in Venda
and paddled his feet in the river. It''s been months now, and his
feet and ankles up to his lower calf are swollen with, with a burning sensation. He, against our advise went to a Sangoma, and was bled from a cut in the area. This, did not work.
What could this be ? He is 50years old, and complaining of any
other problems.

I strongly suggest that he consults a doctor for an examination to exclude heart and kidney problems. Other conditions like diabetes and hypothyroidism will also have to be excluded. The doctor will have to examine the areas, as another possibility could be a parasitic infection that was contracted in the river or by flies lying eggs in small cuts on his legs. The most important thing to exclude is cardiovascular disease.
