Dear Mikki
You can use probiotics that contain bacteria such as Bifidobacterium if you are lactose intolerant (e.g. Bifidoforte or Bifidoflora which you can buy at health shops). Although probiotics will not alter your lactose intolerance, they do have many health benefits. Click on 'Diet' at the top of this page and then on 'You are what you eat' and 'Healthy GI tract' and read the articles on 'Probiotics'.
Best regards
