tuberculoses
what should tb patients eat and what type of foods should they stay away from?
Dear Mel
Patients with TB need to eat as many protective nutrients as possible to build up their body so that it can fight this disease. Foods rich in vitamins, minerals and bioflavonoids, such as fresh fruit and vegetables, unprocessed or whole-grains, meat, milk and dairy products, eggs and fish are important. You can also take a good vitamin and mineral supplement such as Centrum or Supradyn Forte, and an omega-3 supplement like Salmon oil capsules to boost your immunity. Plenty of rest is also important to promote healing.
Hoping you get better soon.
Best regards
