Underactive thyroid
Please could you advise how a person can test if they have an underactive thyroid? and could an underactive thyroid be genetic?

Stressed, you can go to the nearest laboratory and ask them to take blood for a thyroid function test (TFT). There might be a genetic tendency to towards having an underactive thyroid, so the best would be to have it tested. Good luck.
