Vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid is one of the B group vitamins which all play essential roles as cofactors in metabolism. Adults require 4-7 mg a day, but because pantothenic (the name means 'found everywhere') is so widely distributed in foods like vegetables, grains, meat, etc, you should not develop a deficiency easily.
