Vitamin overdose
If I use Vit C, Omega 6, Iron, calsium and magnesium, is it too much?
Dear Felecia
If you suffer from deficiencies such as iron-deficiency anaemia, then it is important to take iron as prescribed by your doctor. Most western diets are also deficient in calcium and omega-3, so it is usually a good idea to take a calcium supplement like MenaCal.7 to boost calcium intake if you are not having 3 servings of milk or dairy products a day. Most people eating a western diet do not have an Omega-6 deficiency, whereas most of us need extra Omega-3. Omega-6 is found in all cooking and salad oils, as well as margarine, so a deficiency is unlikely. You may consider changing your omega-6 supplement to an omega-3 supplement. If you take vitamin C instead of obtaining this vitamin from natural sources like citrus fruit, cabbage, broccoli, guavas, strawberries, etc, then don't take massive doses because this can cause kidney stones. In general individual who do not have a definite deficiency and are eating a varied, balanced diet don't need supplements except perhaps calcium and omega-3.
Best regards
