Dear Me
Most people who eat a well balanced diet do not need to take multivitamins! If you use a balanced, slimming diet (click on 'Diet' at the top of this page, 'Weight loss', ‘Balanced diet’ and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of such a diet), and increase your energy output by doing regular exercise (running, jogging, skipping, cycling, swimming, join a gym or Walk for Life), so that you start losing weight, you will feel much more energetic and less exhausted. If you are permanently exhausted, I would recommend that you ask your gp to check your blood iron levels to see if you suffer from anaemia which can make you feel so tired; also ask him to test your thyroid function because lack of thyroid hormone can cause weight gain and tiredness. If you have normal iron levels and thyroid function, you can try taking Centrum or Supradyn Forte for a month to boost your vitamin and mineral intake, but don't overdo your vitamin/mineral intake because recent research indicates that taking too many supplements can also be harmful.
Good luck with the slimming programme
