WHEN IS A PAP SMEAR NECESSARY?
HI I AM MARRIED NOW FOR 3MNTHS,I'VE HAD MY LEFT OVARY REMOVED IN 2002 BECOS IT WAS THE SIZE OF A GOLF BALL AND TWISTED.I'VE BEEN ON THE PILL SINCE THEN.I JUST WANNA KNOW WHEN IS IT NECEASSARY FOR ME TO GO AND HAVE A PAP SMEAR?I AM PLANNING ON GOING OFF THE PILL AND STARTING A FAMILY SOON.

You should have a pap smear within 6 months of becoming sexually active and then yearly.
