Hi, a physiotherapist recomended that i start yoga to help my spine to become more flexible. i attended a few youga classes at my local gym it really helps but i im not keen on the meditation and spiritual side of it, is there a type of yoga that consists only of the movements and not the theory/meditation side?

Hi Guy, thanks for your query. It is almost a modern paradox that traditionally yoga was a spiritual discipline with a physical component to it and now (certainly in Western culture) it is seen as a physical discipline with a spiritual component. It is great that you are doing yoga for whatever reason but I would strongly suggest that you explore the full benefits of yoga. If you wish to focus on the physical the more power/gym/dynamic/hot route would be the way to go.
