Beta HCG

I got a blood test result of 0.4 the one week and a week later a count of 0.9 for Beta HCG.

Is it possible for this count still to go from a negative to a positive in a week.

It really depends where you are in your cycle and if you are pregnant how far pregnant. Please read the following you should be able to fit yourself into the correct place.

A qualitative urine or blood hCG test is ordered as early as 10 days after a missed menstrual period if a woman wishes to confirm whether or not she is pregnant

In non-pregnant women, hCG levels are normally undetectable. During early pregnancy, the hCG level in the blood doubles every two to three days.

Tests performed too early in the pregnancy, before there is a significant hCG level, may give false-negative results, while blood or protein in the urine may cause false-positive results.
