Naturopath diet for diabetics is very much similar to normal dietary principles for diabetics. Eat carbohydrate foods that have a Low Glycemic Index, full of fibre, reduce your saturated fats as low as possible, take in a little of the healthy fats such as olive oil or omega 3 oils in fish, eat lean healthy proteins such as fish more often that other proteins, drink sufficient water.
The only area where Naturopath's are a little more particular is in the area of sweetners, coffee's, ceylon tea's, diet soda drinks, milk products, where we believe these need to be limited as much as possible.
Naturopath's also use certain herbal and supplements to improve blood glucose control in conjunction with normal diabetic medication. I suggest you consult with a Naturopath to design a program for you.
