1. I have undergone an operation in 2001 for partial thyroid gland removal . Tests have now revealed that it is again overactive.I have been on no post-op medication as follow-up blood tests were ok.. Is there anything that you may suggest to improve my condition?

2. Blood tests revealed that I am having a hormonal dysfuction ( from an amenorrhea). I was as a result placed on CLIMEN tablets which I was told is for life. Any suggestion on an alternative treatment than pills for life?

3. My Teen dughter has a problem of excessive arm pit sweating. Any suggestion on corrective treatment besides operation?

1&2. Thyroid function and hormones often have other effects on all your other hormones this can be the cause for your amenorrhea. Natural medicine would recommend that you use remedies that work to calm down your metabolism. Natural Medicine looks at relaxation, meditation, yoga, stretching, nutrition that uses calming foods, herbal medicines that are calming. There are also homeopathic medicines that may be used specific to your symptoms, here a Homeopath would take your case and select a very specific remedy.
Try the following; take 15 to 30 minutes a day to do a complete body relaxation exercise, avoid highly stimulating exercise programs such as jogging, eat a good balanced diet with no spicy foods and avoid salt, stick to root vegetables healthy rice pasta and breads, passiflora is a good herbal remedy.
3. Your daughter would do well to follow a similar program as above, she may be also showing signs of a high thyroid tendancy. Get her to try Biofeedback , that teaches her to control the adrenalin response and calm down; she may be reacting to stress and anxiety.
