lift
I would like to know about the breast lift. What is the procedure? how much does it cost? Is it true that after having this done one loses all/most feeling in the nipple?
Dear Liz,
A mastopexy or breast lift procedure is done to remove excess skin, rather than excess breast tissue. You are therefore creating a smaller pouch for the existing breast tissue to fit into.
Loss of sensation in the nipple is not an uncommon side-effect, but this is usually only temporary, due to the nerves being cut during surgery. The sensation usually returns after about six months.
