Lower Back Pain
Hi Doc, I went for a jog this morning. I ran for about 5 minutes when suddenly my lower back started to pain. I stopped running immediately. I pain is in the lower back and at times traveling to the buttock. Please assist, I like to start running soon.

Hi Sagran

You need to be stretching your gluts and lats. I would imagine that they have pulled slightly out of balance and the jerking motion with running created the pain.

Gluts by sitting, cross painful leg over the other and lean forward.

Lats - sitting with arm exteded upwards - bend across the midline away from the arm - should feel a tight stretch.
