pain in the sole
Yesterday morning I woke up with what felt like a knot in the heel of my foot, so I tried to work it out but the pain got worse. I could not put any pressure on it when walking and it seemed to get worse throughout the day. If I can explain the pain, it basically feel like there is a nail digging into the bottom of my foot, the pain radiated up the back side of my heel to my achilles tendon. I have not done any strenuous activity. On consultation by a pharmacist he advised that it may be from my high heels and the pressure of weigt on my foot. I have been putting excess pressure on my other foot and the toe of the sore foot. Should I strap it or get crutches. Please advise.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Dear Roxanne
From your explanation you could have an injury to the achilles tendon, a bone bruise or possibly a plantar fascia injury. It would be impossible to do an accurate diagnosis of the problem without an examination and a proper case history. It is important that you see a podiatrist or doctor so that you can get the proper treatment.
