Preacher curl pain

I seem to have a wierd problem...the big muscle in my forearm (underneath-stretchung from wrist to elbow) aches terribly at the top of the curl. So much that I have to quit way before fatigue. If I press anything against the bone against wich this muscle lies, there is a sharp pain very reminescent of a shinsplint. Any info?
