Dear Flasho

The negative effects can be grouped under 3 headings, spiritual, emotional and pysical. The common spirutual effect of relapse is one of deepending despair and a sense that one is doomed to failure a far as managing the disease goes. the emotional effects is a heightened sense of upset and an emotional state which usually includes flat affect and depressed mood. The pysical effects of relapse are usually related to the toxic effects of ingestion of a drug once a system has been detoxified in rehabilitation. This can result in overdose and even death. it is vital that your friend book into a relapse prevention program.
