Does walking develop slow or fatch twitch muscle fibres?
I train my legs hard twice a week, which makes it hard for me to jog or do "serious" cardio - I'm just too stiff and sore. But as I still need to cut the fat I try and do an hour fast walk 3 times a week. I stay close to the beach so this is a pleasure. Does walking promote slow or fast twitch muscles? Or "nothing"? Sorry - hard question...

Walking by it's nature is a endurance activity that will naturally develop your slow twitch fibres. Speed walking may alter that slightly but not by much.

To develop fast twitch fibres you have to do activities that are fast in nature such as gym work, sprinting, skipping, jumping etc.
