Always sleeping...
Hi, I was hoping you could tell me if there is a reason why I am always tired? You can tell me to go to sleep anytime, day or night and I'd be more than happy to do so. I'm not on any medication or anything like that but I am just always tired and never seem to have much energy. Could it be because I am quite unfit and don't exercise often or maybe my diet? (Although I eat the same food as my family and they don't suffer from constant tiredness) I can go to bed early and wake up late or vice versa but at about 9 or 10 in the morning i'm dead tired again! Multi vitamins don't seem to help either. What can I do? Please help?

Dear Clickme

There are hundreds of reasons for being tired - see this article: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003088.htm
Steps to follow:
1. ensure that medically there is not a problem by going for a full check up with your GP - let him check hormone levels, full blood count, kidney and liver function, bloodpressure, fasting blood sugar and insulin levels, ECG and urine test at least.
2. Get enough rest - sleep at least 6 hours per night
3. Eat right
4. Reduce stress levels
5. get help if you think you may have depression or anxiety
