Anxious and depressed in Asia
Dear doctor,

I am currently teaching English in Asia. I've been in China for nearly a year. About a year ago, I took myself off some anti-depressants called cipramil. I thought I was recovering, but although I am not suffering from depression, I am encountering severeAnxiety ALL THE TIME. Unfortunately there is no
real reason for my anxiety. I worry about everything when I know I shouldn't be. I have visited the psychiatrist three times now, but being in an Asian country, I find it difficult to express my true feelings. I am so frightened to return to South Africa as the job situation is very bad at the moment. I am afraid I will be a disappointment to my family if I return there. LIA, going back on the Cipramil® sounds like a good idea from this side of the screen. You can always go of it again at a later stage as it is a non-addictive drug. Good luck.
