Are antibiotics necessary?
i regularly get sinusitis / allergies, only this time the nasal discharge is yellow and thicker, not clear and watery, which i have been told indicates an infection. Should i get antibiotics from a doctor or will it go away on its own?

Dear DJ
You can try the following first:
Take Viral choice C or Echinacea as indicated on the bottle for 5 days
Rinse your nose with salt water: Use something like Drixine nosedrops to open the nasal passages. Make up a salt mixture with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 cup luke warm water ( boiled cooled down if possible). Sniff it up into the nose and blow out, or spray into the nose with an empty nose spray bottle and blow out. Do this 3-4 times per day. You can also buy special nasal saline directly from the chemist to use.
If the discharge does not improve or you have fever, sore face or teeth, see your doctor for antibiotics
