Dear Gary
Great to hear that you would like to register as a bone marrow donor. The Sunflower Foundation is the people to register with. You can go to your nearest path lab and they will have the forms there.
The blood test costs about R200.00 to do and that's where the Sunflower Foundation comes in. They try to find sponsors to pay for the test. i.e. The path lab takes the blood sample and the SF raises the funds for the blood to be analyzed.

Gary, like I aid before, the national bone morrow register is coordinated by the SA transfusion service, but I didn’t know about the SF. If Lucia can let us know how to contact the SF, it would be the best way to have it done (the blood bank will charge about a R100). Good luck.
