No. Bilharzia is caused by a parasite that bores through the skin and develops into small worms in the intestine. These worms lay eggs you can see under a microscope in the urine and stool. The eggs must hatch in freshwater snails before they can infect another human. I hope this person is taking medication as it can cause liver damage!
