Bladder infection
Since May this year my 2 year old daughter has been diagnosed 4 times with bladder infection. Every time she is on antibiiotics and I do not know what to do. Must I consult a urologist or is there any else I can try? Last time we did a urine test (after she started with the antibiotics) and according to the doctor the results revealed that the infection can be treated by antibiotics but I do not want her to use antibiotics this much. What can be the reason for her getting it all the time?

Her simptoms when she''s got bladder infection:
- She urinates after short periods of time (last night 4 times in 4 hours)
- Fever
- Not sleeping well and sometimes like last night she does not even want to sleep
- Negative dreams
- Irritable
- Vomiting (previously)
- Severe pains on her lower abdomen (previously)

Hallo Anina
If a child gets more than 3 infections per year one should do further tests to exclude a physical problem like urinary reflux. Discuss with your pediatrician, as she may need to be referred to an urologist specializing in children's Urinary tract problems
