Hallo Pieter
Boils are caused by a bacteria Staph aureus. These bacteria normally live on our skin but in some cases they can "overgrow" and cause boils, impetigo or folliculitis. It may help to bath with antibacterial soap like Hibiscrub, and use Bactroban ointment in your nose and between the toes (warm moist areas that promote staph aureus growth) Also treat any wounds or pimples immediately with Bactroban ointment and close up with a Band-Aid. Ask your doctor to check your iron levels, blood sugar levels, kidney function and immunoglobulin M levels. It may help to take a good multivitamin.
