Breast Cancer<br>Breast Cancer
I hope you can provide information as I am battling to find answers. My mom has mestastisized breast cancer. Her entire body has come up in little bumps which her oncologist has explained as the breast cancer having spread to the lymph system. My question is, how serious is this and what does it mean in terms of her prognosis (she is already terminal)? Ann information on this would be most appreciated. Please don't tell me to contact her doctor as I have already tried this to no avail.
Thank you

Debby, it is serious and probably terminal. The problem is that I can’t really say how long she has to live. She might live 6 months or 6 years – I just can’t say without having all the facts at my disposal. It also depends on how well she reacts to the chemo and (I know this is an “un-medical” thing to say, but it is true) Divine intervention. The cancer specialist should be able to give you a better idea of at least whether it is terminal or not. Good luck.
