Can cancer in the stomach have a effect on your lower back?

Yes, it is possible if the cancer has spread to the vertebrae of the lower back. The cancer will cause direct pressure and thus leading to pain of the lower back. The cancer can even cause pathological fractures of the lower back, leading to severe pain and impairment of mobility.
Ask your doctor to do a bone scan to evaluate if the cancer has indeed spread to the skeletal system.
