Cant get to REM sleep phase
Morning Doc.
I have this problem lately that I battle to fall asleep. And then eventuelly when I do get to sleep I'm stuck in that half asleep/half awake state. I'm sooo tired! I have high blood pressure for the past month. I've started excercising in a gym. I'm a stay at home mom and I'm EXTREMELY busy with a nearly 20 month old during the day. What can I do to get a good night's sleep?

Dear Lin
It sometimes helps to take a very low dose of tryptanol (children's dose of 10 mg or even half that) It makes you relaxed and induces a more normal type of sleep than sleeping tablets. Such a low dose won't "knock you out" that you won't hear your baby crying. Discuss with your GP.
