Cholesterol Tests/Heart blockages
Hi Cyberdoc
If you have a full fasting cholesterol test (not the pin prick test) the actual test done at the lab and it shows the cholesterol level (all the types) is fine does that totally rule out that there could be cholesterol in your body anywhere i.e. heart?
I don''t understand why a colleague of mine had a very bad heart attack but no cholesterol, she had 3 blocked arteries? She is only 50.
Tx

Hallo Cassandra
One needs some (normal values) cholesterol to make essential hormones but it is unlikely that you would develop cholesterol plaques in the heart with a normal cholesterol. Smoking, diabetes, high adrenalin levels and high blood pressure can however also damage arteries in the heart.
