Discomfort in L knee
Dear Cyberdoc
For the past week or two I have experienced some discomfort around my left knee area. It is not painful, swollen or warm - this being the reason why I do not want to see a dr yet - and my medical aid for 2004 is depleted! I hope you have an idea of what might be wrong. The discomfort is not in the joint, but just below the knee, in the soft tissue area around the upper tibia and fibula area. When I walk it feels like something is "clicking", it is not a muscle pain, but at times my knee feels lame and stiff. Because there is no pain involved, I feel that I will wait a week or two - if it gets worse, I will go and see a dr.
thank you for your input.
Kind regards

JC, I can’t really say what the problem is without being able to examine you, but it is probably due to inflammation. You can try taking an anti-inflammatory like Voltaren® for a couple of days and see what happens. Good luck.
