Double vision
Hi, I'm 47, female, and have been getting occasional double vision since I was 32 years. It lasts for 5 or 10 minutes, and seems to occur when I'm looking round, or to the side. I've suffered from migraines from the age of 10, but it's not like the visual disturbances preceeding a migraine. What could be the cause?

Ann, it might be due to “lazy” eye muscles, but I can’t say for sure without examining you first. The fact that it hasn’t become worse over the last 15 years is good news, but it won’t hurt seeing an ophthalmologist just to make sure. Good luck.
