Eczema / psoriasis perhaps?

I have this patch on my neck (no no, it’s not a love bite)! :-)

It started off about a week ago as a few small patches, and I thought it was a mosquito bite. It’s grown into 1 larger patch, about the size of an Oz 20c (or an SA R5 coin). It’s not itchy or irritating, just unsightly, and has a slight tingle.

To date, I’ve only applied the magical tea tree oil (despite a slight burning sensation on application).

It’s starting to dry out towards the middle, slightly flaky, with a red edge.

I’ve had a pretty stressful time recently, especially in the “relationship” area. Men!!! Why do we bother???

What could this be? And what can I do to help it heal?

MDBB, you’re probably just allergic to Australia. :-) It sounds like it might be a superficial fungal infection and applying an antifungal ointment twice daily should do the trick. I doubt that it’s psoriasis, but I suppose it might be eczema or an allergy. If it doesn’t clear up within a week or so, the best would be to see a doctor (hopefully one that qualified in the good old SA :-)). Good luck.
