Elevated Mole
Hi there,
My husband has a mole just above his heart, which seems to be growing outwards and looks horrific, he says that it is painful when he lays on his chest, it has different colours and is about 30mm in diameter. Is there any reason to be concerned? Or what are the first steps we need to take?
Thanking you

Dear Cat, Yes plenty to be worried about! He needs to see the doctor as soon as possible - the signs of melanoma or skin cancer are:
change in colour
enlargement
irregular borders
change in shape
Pain or itching
bigger than about 5mm in diameter
