ENT - Cortisone Treatment
Doc,
I have a friend who underwent surgery to have some noodles removed from her vocal cords becuase she couldn't speak properly.
Her condition did not improve even after surgery and now she has to go under cortisone treatment because of some other growth on her vocal cords.
Could you please explain what cortisone treatment is? What are the risks involved, etc. ?

Dada, the cortisone will suppress all the swelling and should speed up the recovery. In the short run there are no serious side effects she should worry about. Good luck.
