Feeling awfull after lower SALT intake
Hi, I used to eat a lot of extra salt over my food. I do not like to eat any sweet things such as choclates, cakes etc. A week ago I stopped eating any extra salt over my food. Since then I am feeling awful but are looking much better. Surely one cannot have withdraw symptons from salt, can you? Why am I feeling so awful? Can you perharps help me on this?

Kind regards

Hi Brenda
You can have a period of adjustment to a low salt diet - ask your doctor to do a UKE ( salt, potassium levels in your blood) Your blood pressure may also be low now - let him check this for you?
