If you do not suffer from abdominal distention and severe gastro-intestinal discomfort, you should not be alarmed. The amount of gas produced differs widely from person to person. In most cases the amount of gas produced is determined by the action of bacteria on food in the colon. Try not to eat a high fibre diet, exclude gassy cooldrinks from your diet and drink at least 2 litres of clear fluids per day.
