A few years ago, I was diagnosed with IBS and underwent a Barium enema. I then recently had a drastic change in bowel movements (very loose) and went for another barium enema in Oct of last year. Came back clean - excuse the pun. The problem I am currently having is that I sometimes have a sore rectum (nothing extreme) & my bum tends to itch & burn. I have also noticed that 2 soft glands have swelled up in the groin area & it hurts when I sit on the loo (the toilet seat seems to press exacetely where the glands are) I went to my GP appox 1.5 months ago, but he was not too perturbed. Do you think it is Haemorrhoids, worms or something I should get a second opinion about?

You may have an anal tear causing the itchiness and the swollen glands. A doctor should look with a proctoscope into the rectal canal to exclude this - maybe a 2nd opinion would not be a bad idea?
