Head injuries
Hi doc

I fell so hard and injured my head last year. I went to the doctor after two weeks because there was a liquid coming from my nose so I was worried. He told me that it wasn''t serious coz if it was I was gonna die. He then told me to take pain killers for the headache because I was having terrible headache since the incident. Three months after that I was admitted to hospital due to dippression and was then diagnosed that I was schitzo-affective. I told them that I also this terrible headache coursed by that injury. They tried to do a scan and the medical aid said it can only be done after six months. Well I haven''t done it yet.
Last week I was beaten by my husband on my right ear, I still have the bruises and pains. My main problem is that he also stangled me and now I don''t know what courses the pain on my neck because I can''t sleep on my right side because of pains. The pains starts from the ear and goes down the neck and then after that I can''t move my neck freely.

Should I go and check if the ear was seriously injured? The other injury from last year which was also caursed by him phushing me is now worst its even itching.
Your help will be highly appreciated doctor

Dear Anon
A liquid from your nose may indicate a fracture of the skull. You may need to go for that scan after all. You may have soft tissue injuries because of the abuse (muscle spasm or bruising) and I think you should see your doctor for examination of your neck and ear. You are not in a healthy relationship. Please contact FAMSA and speak to a counselor
