How long expose dto HIV before infected?
have done a lot of reading on HIV and gone on a short peers counselling course , so I think that is why she natuarlly came to me for advice , I was a bit stumped on that one . because I know HIV tranferennce depends on the fluids, viral load of infected , etc We know about the window period 3-6 months and so on, but how much exposure to an HIV infected person ( in this case a woman) does it take for a man to be infected , is it possible for someone who is HIV negative to remain so and for how long? They have been together four years practice unprotected sex, he is negative and tested every three months for his work she is cinvinced she is positive , because of previous promiscuity I think it is a guilt complex what do i tell her ?

Vix, it is highly unlikely that an HIV negative man can have unprotected intercourse on a regular basis over a period of 4 years with an HIV positive women and not turn positive. The best would be for her to have an HIV test done and know the truth. Good luck.
