I get frights/startled easily
I am very easily startled and I often let out a scream, espcially if I have to open a door to walk into a room and there is a person the other side of the door. I can even be driving with my partner in the car and he will suddenly grab my leg and call my name and I will jump. After a fright I do not feel nervous and my heart does not race away etc. I will function quite normally. I am not a nervous or skittish type of person either and I definately do not panic even in serious situations. I am a calm person by nature, but I am starting to feel a bit stupid about this and I don't know if it is getting worse or if I am just becoming more aware of it. Could this be a problem or is it something I should just laugh about?

Dear Wendy
I think you just have good reflexes and if you are not normally anxious and have palpitations, I won't worry - you may be more aware of it as the people around you enjoy your reaction when they frighten you and maybe they do it more than they should!!
