Hope you enjoyed your short break. It's nice to have you back.

I have had this terrible itchy skin problem (yes I know it could just be a dry skin problem) - I don't have anything like redness or rash or anything like that, it's just extremely itchy. It's my legs and arms that are mostly affected and a bit on my back. If it is only a dry skin problem, then why am I only getting the problem at night? I have tried a body cream and Karisma rejuvanating vitamin E cream (only recently) and they don't seem to have helped as much as I would have liked them to. Can showering also possibly aggrevate the problem? I prefer showering to bathing - I find it far quicker! Could the shower gel I have been using also be a problem? At the moment I am using Radox shower gel but have previously used Sanex shower products.

Could I possibly have a skin problem or am I over reacting a bit?

Your help would be appreciated. It's really driving me absolutely mad - and I can't sleep a lot of the time.

Anxious, it might be reaction to something you’re taking or a soap or something, but it might also just be due to dry skin like you said. Have you tried adding an emollient like Oilatum® to your bath water (you can shower in the mornings and have a relaxing bath at night for a couple of days). You can also try taking something like Phenergan® at night to make sure it isn’t due to an allergy. Good luck.
