Lower Eyelid - lump
I had a stye about 2 months ago on my lower eyelid. It disappeard but now there is a lump left behind. It moves around like a ball and is quite hard. Is it serious. There is no pain or redness.
Hallo Tanya
No it is not serious but may need removal - ask your GP to refer you to an opthalmologist - what they do is to put some local anaesthetic on the area and make a small cut (1 mm) and squeeze out the hardened remains of the sty. It is almost like a calcified pimple.
