Lump in breast
I am a 27year old female. 4 years ago I found a lump in my left breast (bottom). I went for a mammo, it was found to be harmless. I still have the lump though. It's tender, but roughly about the same size these past 4 years. Should I go back, even though the previous mammo said it to be harmless?
Elizabeth, if it hasn’t changed in size or consistency, it’s probably safe to assume that it is nothing serious. The problem with a mammogram is that you’re too young for it to be sensitive enough to pick up a small tumour. The best would be to see a surgeon if you want a second opinion. Good luck.
