Molluscum Contagiosum
Hi Doc.
I have had some feedback from you regarding the above mentioned . What I need to know is whether this is contagious to myself and ESPECIALLY TO OTHERS. How is it spread to other people if it is contagious and what is the best way to safegaurd my family from contracting it from me. Lastly , the cream Aldara , that you mentioned in your response , is it available without a script at any pharmacy.
Thanx.

IAS, it spreads by direct contact with the contents of the “pearl” inside the lesions and it’s definitely contagious (it’s one of the few diseases you can actually pick up from a toilet seat).
Aldara® is a schedule 4 drug and unfortunately you will need a doctor’s prescription for it. Good luck.
