mosquito-borne disease in Mauritius
THE DAVID O'SULLIVAN SHOW Tuesday, April 11, 2006 4:55 PM
Details of a mosquito-borne disease that's wreaking havoc in Mauritius, Seychelles and the Comores

I am travelling to Mauritius shortly. Heard on 702 about mosquito related diseases. Can you perhaps give more detail. Any precautionary measures. Please reply per email

Hi Brian
Sorry, I can't reply per email. You can prevent by using something like Tabard, sleeping with a mosquito net and wearing long sleeve clothes after nightfall or if you are going to walk in bushy areas during the day. Ask your nearest Netcare travelclinic for info regarding malaria prophylaxis for the area you are going to visit.
