Sorry, I can't reply per email. You can prevent by using something like Tabard, sleeping with a mosquito net and wearing long sleeve clothes after nightfall or if you are going to walk in bushy areas during the day. Ask your nearest Netcare travelclinic for info regarding malaria prophylaxis for the area you are going to visit.
