My mum-in-law has been having a pain in her waist for the past fe weeks but it has moved on the to one thigh. She went to the GP who said that there is swelling in the muscle on her thigh, she went for X-rays but the doctor could not see anything on them. The pain gets so bad that she can'r get up and it affects the whole leg. She is 62 , slightly overweight but active
Dear Thandosh
It could be a problem in the female parts of the body that gives a referred pain to the thigh or even a nerve in the back that pinches or even a piece of bowel stuck in a hernia in the groin. The doctor must keep looking until he finds the reason for the pain or she must get a second opinion.
