Never Ending Tonsilitis
I've been suffering from tonsilitis for the past two weeks, and i think my body can't take in any more antibiotics. I was on penicillin for five day, then for three more days. Then had a drip with more antibiotics as I was not responding to the penicillin, and put on Zinnat ( more specialised antibiotics) for five days. The pills got finished two days ago, and I thought I was fine. And today, I suddenly have that all too familier body ache! Is there anything I can do because I cannot remove the actual tonsils before they are cured. I have all sorts of antiseptic mouth washes, and grandmothers' cures, but I just feel really lousy. Is there anything I can suggest to my doctor, whom I'm tired of seeing, that may help cure this?

Lerato, it sounds like you might have more than just tonsillitis. It might be that something is affecting your immune system (e.g diabetes) and that’s why you’re not getting better. It might also be that your doctor gave you the correct antibiotics, but not in high enough dosages. Maybe the best would be to see an ENT specialist and have him sort it out for you. In the mean time you can try something like Locabiotal® and see if it doesn’t want to help. Good luck.
