Overactive thyroid &amp  cocaine
Hi, will the use of cocain interfere with the overativity of the thyroid, thus make it produce even more hormones? my sister was told to not drink coffee or eat sugar cause that will affect the thyroid, surely cocaine use would be doing the same or worse? besides the normal cocaine long term problems in what way doe cocaine use affect a person who wants to cure a overactive thyroid?

Although clinical signs of cocaine use are similar to the signs and symptoms of hyperthyroidism and research suggests that cocaine may affect the thyroid, they have not proven that cocaine causes hyperthyroidism. Cocaine can aggravate the hyper thyroidism symptoms.
