Pain in ribcage and diaphragm while sleeping
Im 18 years old, female and about every two to three months I wake up in the middle of the night with an awful painful/sore feeling below my ribcage and in my diaphragm. It hurts to the point that I can't go back to sleep unless I take pain killers or use a heat pad to numb the pain away. Usually after I wake up and walk around a little bit it goes away, sometimes it returns when I lay back down. I'd just like to know if this is something serious.

Hi Frikey
This sounds like the pain of a peptic ulcer or gastritis. I think your doctor should look into this.
